We currently are looking for a part time ultrasound tech.

Ultrasonographer needed for busy physicians office. We are an OBGYN clinic looking for a full time Ultrasound tech. Experience in OBGYN scanning is required.

The principal job duty of the ultrasound tech is to perform accurate ultrasound tests of a particular area of the body, based on a physicians' order. The tech will need the ability to explain technical procedures in a simple, clear way to patients who may be nervous about the procedure or its outcome. The tech also needs sharp attention and good eye sight to ensure they can read and interpret images accurately. The tech will be required to view the fetus in the womb to determine size, weight, and/or gender, along with any potential problems with the fetus. The tech will also test for any problems within the uterus, cervix, or vaginal canal. Images of small tumors, cysts or any other diseases can be determined at an earlier stage. The tech will then analyze the test result from the ultrasound equipment. Calculations and measurements of the images are performed and presented to the physician for a diagnosis and a treatment plan.

Requirements

RDMS certified.

Understanding of confidentiality obligations.

Excellent knowledge of medical terminology.

Excellent physical condition and stamina.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
