Content and Communications Manager 

Full-time HYBRID (Mon & Thurs in office, adding Tuesday in October)  

Location: Whippany, NJ 

Salary:  $80,000-85,000 + Benefits 

Summary:
The Content and Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy that enhances brand visibility, drives engagement, and supports the organization's mission. This role oversees content creation, manages the editorial calendar, ensures SEO best practices, and maintains brand consistency across all communication channels. The Content and Communications Manager will supervise the Digital Marketing Manager and Strategic Communications Specialist.

Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ is a nonprofit organization that serves the Jewish community in Essex, Morris, Sussex, Union, and parts of Somerset County in NJ. Our mission is to convene and lead our community to ensure the continuity and strength of the Jewish people, to support a secure Jewish and democratic State of Israel, and to care for Jews in need locally and around the world. Responsibilities: 

Content Development and Strategy: 

  • Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with organizational goals and objectives. 

  • Identify content opportunities to engage supporters, deepen loyalty, and maximize support for the organization's work. 

Content Creation and Management: 

  • Oversee the creation, production, writing, and editing of content across various platforms. 

  • Ensure all content is optimized for search engines and compliant with brand guidelines. 

  • Manage the editorial calendar, coordinating with various teams to ensure timely delivery of content. 

SEO and Digital Optimization: 

  • Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic. 

  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to optimize content for digital channels. 

Engagement and Messaging: 

  • Drive traffic and engagement through strategic content initiatives. 

  • Develop and maintain consistent, on-brand messaging across all communication channels. 

Team Leadership: 

  • Supervise and provide guidance to the Digital Marketing Manager and Strategic Communications Specialist. 

  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and innovation. 

Performance Measurement: 

  • Measure the impact of content and communications efforts to inform future strategies. 
  • Produce performance reports and dashboards to track key metrics and outcomes. 

Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with internal departments, including fundraising and community engagement teams, to align content with organizational priorities. 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external agencies and partners on content-related projects.

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in content strategy, digital marketing, or a similar role. 

  • Strong writing, editing, and project management skills. 

  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful content strategies. 

  • Expertise in SEO, digital marketing, and performance analysis. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
