This role is a full-time position in the NHS in a Bridgend, Glamorgan inpatient/CMHT service; it offers highly negotiable rates for a dedicated psychiatrist. The trust is seeking an enthusiastic Consultant in Forensic Psychiatry to work Monday to Friday. Your core responsibilities would be to help assess, diagnose and oversee the mental health of patients in your care.
The job is based 50% in a HMP prison (clinic and MDT) and 50% community forensic so mainly CTP reviews and professional meetings rather than clinics.

Hours: This position is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week
Setting: Inpatient/CMHT
Location: Bridgend, Glamorgan
Dates: 6-month placement but will probably extend to 1 year.

Skills:
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Computer literate
Requirements:
  • You must have a full GMC licence to practice
  • Relevant previous experience working in this type of position
  • Section 12 approval is essential
  • Approved clinician status is desired but not essential
