Our mission is to help manufactures maintain a competitive advantage in the world economy by improving productivity.<p><strong>Summary of Responsibility:</strong><p>The Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the compliance program across the organization. This role involves ensuring that the company operates within the legal and regulatory framework and adheres to internal policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be analytical, collaborative and solutions oriented. <p><strong>What You Will Contribute:</strong><br /><ul><li>Collaborate with key organizational partners to create and implement robust Department of Defense and export compliance polices.</li> <li>Provide guidance to program managers on International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Requirement Supplement (DFARS), CMMC licensing policies, regulations, guidelines, and practices.</li> <li>Act as a resource for all inquiries related to export control regulations and licensing policies as they apply to international transactions and program activities.</li> <li>Respond to inquiries from external entities, including customers, governmental agencies, and potential business partners.</li> <li>Participate in planning, organizing, and supporting company export compliance training seminars.</li> <li>Responsible for training, preparing, and submitting license applications and security protocols required for ITAR, EAR, DFARS, and CMMC compliance.</li> <li>Monitoring internal policies and bylaws; address regulatory risks or misconduct and finding solutions; work with management and staff to identify and manage regulatory risk.</li> <li>Ensuring Morris Group Inc. product offerings are compliant General Services Administration (GSA) listing requirements; support the Morris Government Solutions team through ongoing consultative services.</li> <li>Support departments and local operating companies by collecting and coordinating internal compliance; continually conduct audits to ensure compliance.</li></ul><strong>Qualifications &amp; Competencies:</strong><br /><ul><li>10+ years of experience in Export Control (ITAR, EAR and DOD regulations).</li> <li>BSc/BA or equivalent experience in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.</li> <li>PMP certification, preferred or equivalent experience in project management. </li> <li>Advanced knowledge and understanding of the following compliances, ITAR, EAR, DFARS, CMMC, GSA listing process.</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively with all levels of the organization. </li> <li>Proven track record creating and delivering effective training. </li> <li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.</li> <li>Strong internal audit skills.</li> <li>Continuous learner; willing to stay abreast and enjoys research.</li></ul><strong>Location &amp; Travel Requirements:</strong><br /><ul><li>This position is located onsite in our Windsor, CT facility. </li> <li>20% scheduled local and/or overnight travel. </li></ul><strong>What's in it for You:</strong><p>We take great pride in our employees and offer a variety of benefits that allow our employees to be successful inside and outside of work:<br /><ul><li>Competitive starting salary</li> <li>Market competitive comprehensive health benefits including <strong>a zero premium medical plan offering</strong>, vision, dental, and company paid life insurance.</li> <li>Paid Time Off, starting with 23 paid days off in your first year.</li> <li>10 Company Paid Holidays</li> <li>401(k) retirement plan with company contribution</li> <li>Tuition reimbursement</li> <li>Employee appreciation events and perks</li> <li>Employee Assistance Program</li></ul><ul></ul><br /><b><strong>Mental and physical requirements:</strong></b><p>The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to optimally perform the essential functions of the job.
