Admissions Counselor Senior

<p><b>Compensation</b>: $17.37/hr</p><p></p><p>In the absence of Director of Admissions or Evening/Weekend Supervisor, the Admissions Counselor Senior shall be responsible for the Admissions Department. Admissions Counselor Senior's shall be responsible for supervision of incoming and out going calls and information pertaining to individuals that may be referred or admitted for hospital programs or services. This includes providing information about hospital services to callers, scheduling assessments, and making appropriate referrals. As well as performing other duties assigned by Director of Admissions or Evening/Weekend Supervisor.</p><p><b>This is a Full-time, benefit eligible position. The schedule is Monday - Friday 3:30pm-11:30pm. This position will be responsible for on call shifts once or twice a month. </b></p><p><b>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - JOB SPECIFIC</b></p><p>* Requires the use of leadership and team management with limited supervision<br />* Must be effective with verbal, non-verbal and written communication<br />* On a daily basis be able to effectively problem solve in a fast paced work environment<br />* Provides on-call evening/weekend coverage on a monthly basis<br />* Demonstrates the ability to coordinate residential treatment along with acute care<br />* Must be well versed in departmental and hospital policy and procedures<br />* Required to complete 52 hours of Continuing Education annually; including passing CALM and CPR classes<br />* Needs to abide by Federal, State and TJC standards, concerning patient confidentiality requirements<br />* Demonstrates knowledge of quality improvement goals and objectives hospital wide<br />* Must help educate new and existing staff on Admissions processes; Including but not limited to computer programs, documentation, paperwork and referral call processes <br />* Uses proper phone etiquette<br />* Must be able to preform essential job functions such as bending, lifting and transporting patients<br />* Other duties as assigned</p><p><b>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY</b></p><p>On call</p><p></p><p> </p><br><br><p>* High School/GED required<br />* Associates/Bachelor's degree in a human service field preferred</p><p><b>WORK EXPERIENCE</b></p><p>* At least two years experience in mental health required if Associate's or Bachelor's degree is not obtained<br />* Ability to deal with people in an empathetic and concerned manner preferred</p><p><b>Compass Health Network</b> is a nonprofit health care organization offering accessible, comprehensive, &amp; compassionate behavioral health, substance use treatment, family medicine and dental services throughout Missouri.
