Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides basic patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. They assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating. They also help patients with mobility and transfers, take vital signs, and document patient information.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating
  • Help patients with mobility and transfers
  • Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Document patient information, such as medical history and current medications
  • Report any changes in patient condition to the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families
  • Maintain a clean and safe patient environment
  • Follow infection prevention procedures
  • Adhere to all facility policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
  • Current CNA certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
