CNA LTC FT
Job Description Responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care under the direction of an RN or LPN. Assists residents with activities of daily living, provides personal care, comfort, and support. Maintains a safe and clean environment for all residents.
2:00pm - 10:00pm with weekend and holiday rotation. Pay based on experience starting at $16.94 + shift and weekend differential when applicable.
Responsibilities Accompanies residents to appointments, meals, and social activities. , Aides in implementation of physician orders., i.e. following transfer orders with number of assistance and how to be transferred (gait belt, sit to stand lift, or full body lift). , Assists in ADL/resident care delivery (eating, dressing, bathing, ambulating, repositioning, etc.). , Assists in changing of bed linens. , Assists in preparation for admission: preparing room and set up. Completion of inventory checklist, orienting resident to room, V/S, weight, and completing portion of education checklist. , Assists in preparation of resident transfers: preparing resident, V/S. , Assists in resident discharge: inventory checklist completed with resident to ensure resident has all belongings, assists in gathering personal belongings. , Collects specimens as needed and deliveries to lab, performs vital signs. , Communicates any resident refusals for care or treatment with the nurse caring for the resident. , Documents adverse reactions, behaviors and change in behavior. , Documents and reports resident care information for more efficient methods of resident assessment. , Documents daily resident cares and related programs. Documents vital signs for nurse and Doctor visits. Documents weights and completes monthly V/S as assigned. , Educates residents and families with documentation. , Gives/assist with daily hygiene to include but not limited to: bathing, hair care, shaving, oral hygiene, nail care, grooming, glasses, dentures, and hearing aides. , Maintains a safe and clean environment: cleaning of equipment, soiled utility room, supply room, and kitchenette. Maintains dirty linen carts and keeps soiled linen emptied to help eliminate odors. Performs daily chores as assigned. , Maintains foley catheters in privacy bag while up in chair. , Maintains Oxygen: concentrators and tanks. Notifying unit secretary or cardiopulmonary when in need of new tank. , Meets resident's nutritional needs by: tray set up, assisting resident in eating, giving fluids that are provided. Frequently offering fluids. , Performs peri-care and foley care using the correct technique and per following policy. , Provides direct resident care with regard to their age and developmental needs and assists resident in activities of daily living. , Provides skin care, prevents skin breakdowns, turns and repositions every 2 hours or more often, and uses skin creams routinely. , Reports resident conditions and changes in patient status. , Responds to residents' call light and other indicators for assistance promptly and courteously and follows through to meet residents' needs. , Transfers residents safely without skin tears and bruising.
Requirements:
