Job Summary:

Performs all facets of the echocardiographic procedures. Contributes to the efficient operation of the Medical Imaging Department, ensuring the quality and continuity of patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of a college or technical training program in Echocardiography Technology is required. Registry in Echo-Cardiac Sonography required.
  • Previous experience as a Cardiac Sonographer preferred. After orientation, up to three months' experience in this job is required to perform essential functions and to handle emergency situations.
  • Certification in BLS by the American Heart Association is required.

Job Responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

  • Performs all duties on a skills checklist related to echocardiographic diagnostic studies
  • Demonstrates professional behavior, prepares and performs technical non-invasive procedures or studies, provides quality patient care,
  • Operates equipment safely, processes information in the appropriate areas, performs procedures in an organized and efficient manner, and performs other duties as assigned.
