Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse for Partial Hospitalization and the Behavioral Health Outpatient (OP) clinic provide a broad spectrum of services.

For Partial Hospitalization-

The Program (PHP) Nurse is a member of a multidisciplinary team providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient day treatment environment. The Nurse is responsible for reviewing patient health histories, completing nursing assessments for each patient enrolled in PHP and providing general education sessions for patients regarding their health and welfare. The Nurse also triages patient care for and consults with the programs’ attending psychiatrist, provides medication education for patients and their families, facilitates wellness group sessions, communicates with primary care, Pharmacy, and other medical specialties to advocate for program patients, and provides direct patient care in medical and emotional crisis situations for Partial Hospital Patients.

For Behavioral Health OP clinic-

The Nurse provides support to the Clinic’s psychiatric prescribers, which includes providing medication education and support to patients receiving OP medication management services; facilitating utilization reviews to ensure medication authorizations are successful; Monitoring the OP Clozaril Patient clinic; Providing patient care support to include scheduled monthly long acting injectable (LAI) sessions.

Requirements:

  • Current Pennsylvania RN license
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience preferred
  • Crisis Management Course required (provided)
  • CPR/BLS (provided)
  • Background clearances (as required by law).
