Mt Sinai Wellness Center offers those seeking addiction treatment in a discrete, private setting, coupled with top medical care. Our property features beautiful views of nature and our dcor provides for a tranquil setting with a mountainous backdrop. Quiet, serene areas help patients focus on their recovery without the loud distractions of the outside world. We are searching for an innovative/dynamic Medical Director to lead our medical department to new heights. This candidate will have leadership experience, work well with multiple departments, ability to engage with both clients and staff, and be in front of new technology and medical treatments. Our New Medical Director should be familiar with both State and CARF regulations. We offer medical detox, Medication Assisted Therapy, Dual Diagnosis, trauma care, equine, and holistic approaches in addition to our incredible medical care.   • Implementation and enforcement of medical policies, procedures and training
  • Assistance as needed with development of clinical policies, procedures and training
  • Assistance as needed with completion of federal, state, county and other regulatory applications, permits, licensure, inspections, etc.
  • Correspondence and interaction with key regulatory (DEA, SMA, Medicaid, SAMSHA/CSAT, etc.) personnel, accrediting bodies as necessary
  • Participation in federal and state opiate/substance abuse trainings, educaiton programs, etc.
Administrative Responsibilities
  1. Participation in Federal & state opiate/substance abuse trainings, education programs, etc.
  2. Inputs clinical findings in the patient charts and electronic medical records.
  3. Performs (and documents) chart reviews of all subordinate NPPs.
  4. Interviews, trains, educates, evaluates and counsels subordinate NPPs.
  5. Participates in meetings, teleconferences, etc. as needed.
  6. Ability to handle stressful situations and interact with others.
  7. Must be present during working hours via in person or telehealth meetings and access to a computer without violating company policy.
  8. Participates in BayMark Performance Improvement Process and accreditation process.
  9. Continually reviews and enhances medical policies, procedures and protocols.
  10. Knowledge and compliance with HIPAA policy and procedures and 42 CFR part 2.
  11. Ensure that Providers physicians and NPs are adequately trained to perform diagnosis of substance use disorders for beneficiaries and determine the medical necessity of treatment of beneficiaries.
  12. Ensuring that providers physicians and NPs are adequately trained to perform other practitioner duties, outlined in this section.

  • Board Certified or board eligible with two years of addiction treatment experience.
  • Must successfully complete board certification within 12 months of hire.
  • Current state licenses & DEA licenses.
  • Active Data 2000 waiver.
  • Ability to prescribe buprenorphine.
  • Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check.
  • Satisfactory drug screen.
