The position ensures technical competence, workplace safety, and compliance status (cGMP, OSHA, USDA, Internal quality) within the department. The Cell Lab Manufacturing Manager will leverage their technical and process expertise to drive continuous improvement and change within the production environment.<p><b>Your Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>M<span>anage personnel and activities in the assigned area to produce high-quality products, develop and implement strategies to enhance aseptic practices and ensure reliable delivery, and oversee the effective scheduling of employee work for bargaining unit and technician levels.</span></p></li><li><p>U<span>tilize technical knowledge to troubleshoot production issues, document findings, implement solutions, drive area improvements focusing on deviation and defect reduction, and recommend the purchase of new or replacement equipment and requisition operating supplies to ensure continuous improvement in production processes.</span></p></li><li><p>Implement and maintain training curriculum for staff, including scientific principles, time management, GMPs, technical requirements, and other relevant policies and regulations.</p></li><li><p>Administer company policies, including safety programs, enforce the terms of the union contract and ensure compliance with cGMP, OSHA, USDA, and internal quality standards.</p></li><li><p>Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, metrics, and improvement initiatives.</p></li><li><p>Lead continuous improvement efforts using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies, as well as identify and address bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and quality issues.</p></li></ul><p><b>What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications):</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience in a similar environment OR Associate's degree with 3 years’ experience OR high school diploma/GED with 5 years' experience.</p></li></ul><p><b>What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree with a technical emphasis</p></li><li><p>Previous biological/pharmaceutical production environment experience</p></li><li><p>Previous leadership experience</p></li></ul><p><b>Additional Information:</b></p><ul><li><p>This position operates on the <b>1st shift: Monday - Thursday, 6am - 4:30pm</b>.</p></li><li><p>Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
