Unit Description:
Emergency Medical Services that provides urgent pre-hospital care and transport to patients. Baptist Health Lexington Ambulance Service is a provider established in Lexington, Kentucky operating as a Ambulance with a focus in land transport.

The Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. Employee honors patients' mind, body, and spirit by respecting human dignity and the uniqueness of everyone. Nursing practices are based on evidence and current research as well as hospital and department policies and procedures, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines.

Description:

  • Assessment of patients' needs.
  • Development of patient care plan/s
  • Provision of direct care.
  • Management of patient care delivery.
  • Demonstrate of leadership skills.
  • Support for quality care.
  • Customer relations and healing environment.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
  • Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
  • Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor's degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
  • ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
