The Registered Nurse (RN) position will coordinate and participate in delivery of nursing care to assigned opiate dependent patients, who are receiving methadone or suboxone in an integrated care setting including primary care, psychiatric, and recovery services. The role provides direct patient care, community outreach and support for prescribers in behavioral health clinics. The RN participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, based on the objectives, standards, and policies of practical nursing. The RN is a positive team player that promotes a culture of inclusion and participation.
Required Education and Experience

  • Active RN licensure with a minimum Associates degree (with no restrictions) from the Kentucky Board of Nursing
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable operating transportation, and proof of current auto insurance
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Experience in office-based setting
  • Experience with psychiatric nursing
Essential Functions
  • Nurse is responsible for the dispensary services of methadone, implementing physician’s orders and order changes, and aide in oversight of medication ordering, storage, destruction and maintenance of records as required by the DEA.
  • Responsible for drug screen specimen collection and processing, reading test results as ordered by Program Physicians and the completion of all forms involved in these procedures.
  • Provide oversight for the completion of clients admission and annual Laps/Physical as required by state regulations.
  • Coordinate referrals and treatment as needed with outside facilities
  • Administer Vivtrol (IM) and Sublocade (Sub-Q)injections as ordered.
    *Monthly staffing rotation for weekend dispensing is required*
