BACK OF HOUSE

General Purpose:

Back of House is responsible for prepping ready to eat foods and cooking food to order. Maintain high quality food standards

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adhere to DHEC and Tropical Grille rules and regulations
  • Prep food
  • Adhere to Tropical Grille Recipes
  • Assist putting away truck orders.
  • Cook food to order.
  • Communicating with management if help is needed.
  • Ensure proper rotation and labeling of food, FIFO.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen
  • Maintain food quality, consistency, and freshness.
  • Marinating chicken
  • Prepare caterings.
  • Breaking down and cleaning grille
  • Responsibilities are not limited to direct job description; we expect all team members to perform any additional tasks asked of them by management.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of food safe temperatures
  • Urgency
  • Organization
  • Basic knife skills
  • Muti-tasking
Requirements:
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Physical dexterity required to clean work areas.
  • Able to work in hot kitchen environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
