Bioassay Method Development - Automation Scientist

Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories, a nationally recognized laboratory, is searching for a Scientist to support our Professional Scientific Services group in Spring House, PA. <br> <br> This scientist level position will support the Bioassay group. <br> <br> <strong> Scientist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following </strong> <strong> : </strong> <ul> <li> Perform method development, optimization, validation, and transfer of Bioassays </li> <li> Utilizing automated liquid handlers (i.e. Tecan, Hamilton, etc.) </li> <li> Different assays will be included, but this role is 100% automation work. </li> <li> Immunoassays and PCR analysis </li> <li> Troubleshoot method and instrumentation problems </li> <li> Initiate and perform investigations </li> <li> Develop and execute validation plans </li> <li> Carry out method transfers and feasibility studies </li> <li> Write Test Methods </li> <li> Validation protocols and Reports </li></ul> <strong> The ideal candidate would possess </strong> <strong> : </strong> <ul> <li> Familiarity with automated liquid handlers (ie. Tecan, Hamilton, etc.) </li> <li> Pipetting skills </li> <li> Cell Culture / aseptic technique </li> <li> ELISA / Immunoassay experience </li> <li> 96-well plate assays </li> <li> Preferred, but not required: <ul> <li> Attention to detail / organized </li> <li> Experience working within a regulated environment </li> <li> Ability to work within a fast-paced environment </li> <li> Familiarity with LIMS </li> <li> Knowledge of statistics </li> <li> Good communication skills </li> <li> Self-motivated </li> </ul> </li></ul> <strong> Basic Minimum Qualifications </strong> <strong> : </strong> <ul> <li> Bachelor's or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences, Chemistry or Biochemistry and approximately 3 years of relevant experience is required </li> <li> Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship </li></ul> Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.
