Billing Specialist l

Description
All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a negative drug screen test*, criminal background check, reference checks, infection prevention procedures (TB test, Flu Shot, immunization records, negative drug screen to including medical marijuana ) and acknowledgement of policies
Essential Duties per area of responsibility:
1. Review the UB04 and 1500 for completeness and accuracy for electronic and paper submission,
2. Work all edits daily prior to claims submissions.
3. Attach required documents for processing such as medical records, EOB information for those carriers that
require.
4. Verifying electronic claim reports for acceptance with the clearinghouse and payer specifically.
5. Create and submit claims for secondary and supplemental insurance companies with required documentation.
6. Performs other duties as assigned consistent with the above responsibilities.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year previous experience in a Hospital or Physician Office is preferred.

None required.
