Charlevoix Public Schools seeks a behavioral specialist to support staff in upholding a positive learning environment with high academic and behavioral standards. Charlevoix Elementary School has students in PK-6 grade.
*To be employed by the 3rd Party Contracting Agency Edustaff. Candidates must be employed or have the ability to be employed by Edustaff.*
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience working with elementary students in need of behavioral intervention.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the school team including the principal, teachers, and social worker to plan and implement behavioral interventions for students in need of extra support.
- Analyze SSIS data and reports for proactive intervention
- Work with teachers to assess and improve student behavior
- Develop and implement restorative practices for students.
- Support dysregulated students.
- Recognize student accomplishments and positive behaviors.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve building and district goals.
- Attend professional development opportunities to maintain a high level of skill and knowledge of current practices and policies.
