Audiologists offer a range of audiological services at the Health Center, ENT office, and other outreach sites.
These services include audiological evaluation, electronystagmography, evoked potential testing, real ear analysis, industrial hearing conservation services, hearing aid evaluation/dispensing, and aural rehabilitation. Responsibilities: - Maintaining and demonstrating competency in all areas of assigned client care needs and seeking additional information, in-services, or educational opportunities to remain competent and current.
- Effectively coordinating schedules and assignments to ensure maximum productivity, efficiency, and meeting deadlines and commitments to customers, including patients, other physical medicine staff members, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Administering and evaluating videonystagmography tests.
- Performing electroacoustic analysis of hearing aids for documentation of function and troubleshooting. Performing real ear analysis/speech mapping for optimal tuning and adjusting of hearing aids.
- Conducting all components of the complete audiometric hearing test battery as needed for differential diagnosis of hearing loss or other specific test objectives for pediatric through geriatric life stages.
- Providing counseling to patients and families concerning the function of the hearing mechanism, the nature of the hearing loss, the use of the hearing aids, or the handicapping effects of hearing loss.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience
- Must be Licensed Audiologist
- Must be Illinois State licensed Audiologist
