<p>We have an opening for an <strong>Associate Instructor for Industrial Automation Robotics / Industrial Electricity</strong> at our Kimball campus!</p> <p>Our Purpose - We support and empower everyone in our community to learn without limits.</p> <p>Our Values:</p> <p>- We cultivate an inclusive environment.</p> <p>- We care about the well-being of each other.</p> <p>- We instill trust through integrity and transparency.</p> <p> <strong>Our Mission-</strong> We are Chattanooga State, a dedicated team that delivers accessible, innovative learning opportunities that surpass expectations.  Together, we enrich the lives of students, and their families; develop a talented workforce; and partner with community to lead boldly into the future.</p> <p>The role will be responsible for the following:</p> <p>Perform specific duties related to instruction; course and curriculum development; professional growth; service to students; and service to the college and community.</p> <p> <strong>-Instruction:</strong> Facilitate the classroom instructional process; evaluate and monitor student progress; assign grades; provide academic assistance to students; maintain attendance and grade records; counsel and advise students on career goals; work to retain students; maintain required classroom and office hours.</p> <p> <strong>-Course and Curriculum Development:</strong> Select texts, equipment, supplies, and other learning resources; participate in the purchase of needed program supplies and equipment; develop instructional materials; create and revise courses and/or curricula as needed; maintain updated course syllabi; develop and maintain a site on the college's Learning Management System (eLearn) for all instructional materials and tests.</p> <p> <strong>-Professional Growth:</strong> Remain current within instructional field and technologies; acquire, maintain, and apply knowledge of current instructional methodologies and materials; attend scheduled college and division professional development and in-service activities; support related professional organizations; participate in the annual faculty evaluation process.</p> <p> <strong>-Service to Students:</strong> Comply with FERPA laws; participate in advising, recruitment, admissions, and orientation of potential students; assist students with job placement upon graduation; support student activities including SkillsUSA and NTHS.</p> <p> <strong>-Service to the College and Community:</strong> Assist in the recruitment and selection of college personnel as assigned; participate in accreditation, assessment, and performance funding processes; support and participate in the College's decision-making processes; provide input and assistance with budgets; attend convocation and commencement exercises and participate in mandatory college programs; develop and maintain positive and cooperative relationships with colleagues; maintain an active program advisory committee; complete the annual Council on Occupational Education (COE) report for the program.</p> <p>-Perform other duties as assigned.</p> <p> <strong>Position Requirements:</strong> Graduate from a one-year diploma program, or have an Associate's degree in an industrial maintenance mechatronics related field, and three years' experience as a maintenance technician or ten years' verifiable experience in the field of automation robotic maintenance.</p> <p>OR, Graduate from a one-year diploma program, or have an Associate's degree in an industrial electricity related field, and three years' experience as a licensed electrician, minimum (LLE) or ten years' verifiable experience in the industrial electricity field.</p> <p> <strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong> Post-Secondary or Secondary Teaching experience of equivalent courses. Completion of a USDOL apprenticeships, related to mechanical or electrical maintenance. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: High level skills in oral and written communications; interpersonal skills consistent with interfacing with a diverse students, peers, administration, and business and industry leaders in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships; computer skills with Microsoft products.</p><img src="https://counter.adcourier.com/YmJnZW5lcmljLjQ5MTI2LjEyNTI0QG1zY2NvbXAuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif">
