As a Site Coordinator for the Cape Ann YMCA, you will help ensure the care, safety, and well-being of elementary-aged children through on-site supervision, staff management, and consistent and effective communication, while overseeing a daily schedule of engaging activities. This position will be part of a growing team supporting schools based in Gloucester & Rockport. On a regular day, you will provide supportive coaching and guidance to staff and students, ensure licensed childcare compliance, carry out administrative duties, maintain the site space and program resources, and build strong relationships with parents and school district partners. In addition, as a year-round position, during the summer season, Site Coordinators play a pivotal role in providing leadership to day camp or summer learning loss programs.

To thrive in this position, you have a strong sense of empathy and proven leadership skills. You have experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds, familiarity with summer camp programming, and local state licensing regulations for childcare programs. You communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. You can work both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.

  • Must be at least 20 years old
  • Associates or bachelors degree preferred
  • Must meet EEC qualifications of a Site Coordinator and have a minimum of 1 year of previous experience working with school aged children in a program setting
