The Accountant is responsible for base journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. This role is also responsible for supporting all month-end close tasks, the annual budget process, and the external audit.

Essential Job Duties :

  • Prepare base month-end journal entries, maintaining detailed electronic support
  • Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations for various base accounts, including complete electronic support, researching and resolving reconciling items in a timely manner
  • Load monthly financial results for companies not on the Corporate ERP system into the ERP general ledger system
  • Reconcile intercompany balances
  • Assist in the annual budget process for SG&A expenses
  • Support the external audit requests for assigned accounts or processes using prescribed submission tools and per published deadlines
  • Owner of the chart of accounts
  • Other duties, tasks and projects as assigned

Requirements :

  • Strong Excel computer skills
  • Ability to execute with precision
  • Desire to question and streamline current processes and procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete assigned tasks timely
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with a high level of self-motivation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Intern experience preferred
  • Goal of becoming a CPA, CMA or MBA a plus
