Summary:
Material Coordinator (Inspector) inspects deploying units’ equipment for deployability and maintenance based on mode of transportation; maintains records, prepares correspondence and generates reports for appropriate agencies. Provides technical guidance to units and briefs agencies and personnel on equipment inspection status in the absence of the Lead Inspector. Assists the ITDSA Inspection Lead in planning, coordinating, and overseeing all activities that supports the unit during deployment inspection operations. Attends In Process Reviews (IPR). Must be able to pass the AMMO 62 course.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Verify Hazmat documents for accuracy
Inspects deploying ISO Containers for serviceability, deployability, blocking and bracing.
Inspects deploying military vehicles for deployability and maintenance.
Complete daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
Act as a Safety Officer throughout the entire inspection process
Preferred Job Requirements:
Knowledge of U.S. Army deployment operations and procedures.
Knowledge of U.S. Army military vehicles, equipment and containers.
Knowledge of military surface movements including but not limited to Rail, Highway, Convoy and Vessel.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and SharePoint
Minimum Job and Education Requirements:
High School/GED Diploma.
Two (2) years of documented experience in the Transportation field
