Description and Requirements
The Workstation Competitive Analyst is responsible for providing market and product insight into the larger business including executive level reports
Responsibilities include:
Perform market analysis based on industry reports such as IDC
    • Provide customer segmentation based on targeted workstation industries
    • Monitor and keep up with competitor's information on products, pricing and capabilities.
    • Perform side by side competitive analysis of our portfolio (platform and component level) vs our top competitors
    • Work hand by hand with rest of PM team to analyze the features of competitors' products, compare the performance and market appeal of their product range and recommend areas for improvement
Provide data and feedback for NPI and Product disclosures
    • Track and report any news of product launches or key marketing messages / activities from competition
    • Provide deep dive on competitor announcements to Sales teams
    • Provide product level education to geography product and sales teams, including the "why Lenovo" vs Competition
    • Work with marketing and benchmark teams to create marketing collateral such as competitive battle cards, performance side by side, datasheets, etc.
    • Help standardize the deliverable templates across Desktop and Mobile workstations
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years experience in hardware management, marketing and/or market analytics
  • Previous experience with virtual teams and extensive cross-group coordination/collaboration and very strong communication and partnership skills.
  • Strong Excel and Power Point skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with consumer electronics
  • 2+ years product analytics experience highly preferred.
  • Strong technical acumen and passion for learning new technologies
  • Self-starter who can manage ambiguity, chart a clear course and make tough decisions
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

This position will be based in our North America Headquarters in Raleigh, NC. Our office has transitioned to a hybrid work environment supporting 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
