We are looking for an Application Engineer to enhance our Technical Support & Services team. The right candidate will bring a wealth of Azure expertise and a mastery of Windows servers, virtual systems, and networking is essential. If you are good with scripting languages and ready to tackle big recovery challenges, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do:
  • Please note this is a hybrid position, therefore office attendance in the Morrisville, NC collaboration hub is required.
  • Help manage and troubleshoot disaster recovery solutions using Azure and other relevant systems experience.
  • Assisting with configuration of VPN tunnels and network elements during recoveries, ensuring the integrity and smooth transition between systems.
  • Regularly perform disaster recovery tests, aiming for swift action and minimal system interruptions.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues by systematically identifying root causes, implementing effective solutions, and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, support, and security teams to guarantee the highest levels of quality in the disaster recovery process.
  • Engage with partners and colleagues to pinpoint requirements and customize recovery solutions.
  • Analyse data to offer insights that improve support capabilities and partner experiences.

What You'll Bring:

Technical Skills and Qualifications:

  • A bachelors degree in computer science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent technical training with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Skilled in Azure services such as Azure Site Recovery and Azure Virtual Networks.
  • Proficient with network protocols and VPN configurations. Expertise in DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, DHCP, firewalls, SMTP, and various web and email protocols.
  • A good understanding of system boot-up processes, file systems, and APIs.
  • A solid grasp of system monitoring, disaster recovery applications, and data protection regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a clear understanding of technical support fundamentals.
  • Extensive experience with Windows OS; Linux/UNIX and MacOS knowledge preferred but not mandatory.
  • Expertise in Microsoft technologies, including MS Exchange, MS SQL, SharePoint, and Active Directory is a big plus.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications, like Azure Solutions Architect or Azure Security Engineer, are a significant plus.
  • Advanced abilities in scripting and query languages such as SQL, Bash, PowerShell, Python is beneficial.
