The interventional radiology care coordinator/RN will work with the interventional radiology provider, to gather necessary clinical information, assist with resource coordination and oversee the timely delivery of IR services at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Ensures there is appropriate provisions of IR services and treatments available within the hospital, coordinates with referring healthcare providers, assists with scheduling and performs nursing services as needed. Responsible for program compliance with WMH policy as well as State and Federal agencies. Uses the nursing process to identify needs, plan and implement appropriate interventions, and document and evaluate patient care outcomes. This is a professional-level position requiring the ability to work independently within the parameters of applicable policies, procedures, and practice standards. Strong interpersonal skills are essential to meet service expectations and effectively communicate with other members of the Diagnostic Imaging (DI) staff and leadership, hospital nursing staff, nursing administration, physician staff, patients, and family members. Responsible for providing and ensuring quality nursing care to patients throughout the Imaging Department Service Line.
Minimum Requirements

  • RN Degree; Graduate from an accredited school of nursing;
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Pennsylvania;
  • Minimum of 12 months nursing experience; plus 6 months of specialized IR experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients in an Acute or Chronic setting required.
  • 6 months recent IR experience in an Acute setting preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies and skills for the position, including continuous quality improvement, relationship development, results orientation, team building, motivating employees, performance management, and decision making.
  • Demonstrated management skills necessary to provide leadership in the supervision of IR personnel and to ensure the delivery of maximum quality care to all patients both in acute and office settings.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records systems required.
