Candidate will calibrate and operate a variety of equipment; obtains samples, conducts tests and reports accurate and complete results to physicians on a variety of tests.
Minimum Requirements
Requires the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Prior appropriate laboratory experience or combination of education and experience which establishes eligibility for the CMS personnel requirements. Must meet the personnel criteria as determined by CMS as personnel performing moderately and highly complex testing. Must posses, at a minimum, an Associate Degree in Medical Technology or related; ASCP preferred.

Constantly: (Exists 75% or more of the time) N/A
Frequently: (Exists 25-75% of the time) Standing; sitting with and without back support; reaching (overhead, forward, lateral); lifting and carrying 0-5 lbs.; operating machinery; infect hazards.
Occasionally: (Exists 5- 25% of the time) Walking; reaching (low); stooping (bend at waist); crouching (bend at knees); lifting and carrying 5-10 lbs.; pushing and pulling 5-15 lbs.; exposure to chemical hazards, moving machinery.
Rarely: (Exists under 5% of the time) Kneeling; climbing; crawling; twisting; lifting and carrying 10-40 lbs.; pushing and pulling 15-40 lbs.; exposure to fumes.
Sensory Requirements: Visual: Close paperwork, VDT used, color vision required, visual monotony; Hearing: conversation, monitoring equipment, telephone, transcription, background noise; Sensory discrimination.
