This role will lead the execution of the process hazard analysis program for East Alton, Illinois and Oxford, Mississippi by facilitating all elements of process hazard analysis for applicable change management, 5-year revalidation programs, and initiatives necessary to achieve Olin Winchester's EHS vision.
Process Safety Engineer Essential Functions :
Process Safety Engineer Position Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree* in engineering, EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety, or related technical field.
- Minimum three years of recent related experience.
- Experience in leading/facilitating Process Hazard Analysis and knowledge and understanding of OSHA and PSM (Process Safety Management).
- Preferred experience in FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) methodology.
- Requires up to 30% of traveling to different locations and must possess a valid US driver's license.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated program and project leadership.
- Comfortable with a high degree of responsibility, initiative, capacity to work independently, and dedication to producing high-quality work products.
- Good judgment and a strong ethical framework allowing the individual to make correct decisions instinctively.
- This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
