Speech Language Pathologist/Speech Therapist

As a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist/Therapist for Madison Behavior Therapy (MBT) you will join our "Dreamteam" family in carrying out our values everyday through the way we treat each other and our clients. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with clinicians and families to provide trauma-informed care in applied behavior analysis. Each member of our team receives 1:1 coaching and supervision to support growth as a clinician and employee. We take our achievements almost as seriously as teaching through play. This position is full-time, 1st shift.
Education and Experience:
  • Masters Degree in Speech- Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in Pediatrics
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience working with children with special needs or other behavioral disorders
  • Current State License in Good Standing
  • Passes background checks
  • ASHA
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Assess and document pediatric patient's communication status using clinical observations, caregiver report, and standardized testing.
  • Develop a plan for treatment that integrates the family's values, child's deficits and clinical guidelines/recommendations.
  • Document ongoing progress towards goals. Address goals and provide treatment in a way that supports sensory-motor, cognitive, psychological, and behavioral development.
  • Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with other disciplines within the clinic- ABA Therapy, occupational therapy, Clinical Psychologist and other professionals outside of the clinic to provide comprehensive, individualized care.
  • Follow ASHA and other research-based guidelines to evaluate and treat pediatric patients.
  • Desire to expand clinical knowledge and develop clinical reasoning skills, Education, Experience and Certifications
  • Upholds ethical and professional standards within the MBT Clinics
  • Communicates services provided by the MBT clinics to the greater community
Required Training:
  • CPR
  • HIPAA
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to be on feet up to 80% of shift
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
