Position Overview: The VP of Mobile will be responsible for shaping and executing the mobile market entry for Mediacom from strategy through execution. They will provide leadership, vision, and direction to a team of mobile product managers, web developers, marketing managers and billing specialists, as well as Mediacom’s integrated partners. Key responsibility will be to ensure that Mediacom’s mobile products and solutions align with business objectives and meet the highest standards of quality and innovation. The successful candidate for the position of VP of Mobile is a strategic leader who possesses a blend of technical expertise, innovation, and exceptional team management skills. The incumbent must have a “roll up the sleeves'' attitude and embrace a proactive, entrepreneurial, mindset dedicated to continuous development, growth and achieving success. This position will require some travel (about 25%) to meet with local vendors and partners, as well as other Mediacom locations throughout the country. Key Responsibilities: Mobile Strategy & Business Case: Develop, execute, and refine mobile strategy, ensuring it aligns with the overall business goals and objectives. Have ownership of the business case and ensure that investments and returns align. Go to Market: Develop and manage pricing, customer acquisition, and customer retention plans to deliver the target economics of the business. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a talented team of mobile developers, designers, and product managers to foster a collaborative and innovative environment. Product Development: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring the on-time and on-budget development of high-quality mobile service. User-Centered Innovation: Work to innovate based on user feedback and changing user needs. Use data and insights to guide improvements and innovations for the mobile product. Strategic Innovation: Responsible for driving strategic innovation in mobile technology. This includes identifying emerging trends and technologies that can give the organization a competitive edge. Device & Supply Chain Management: Responsible for the portfolio development, ranging & lifecycle management of smartphones, accessories, tablets & wearables. Also, responsible for value added services including device protection, trade-in, upgrade & BYOD. Managing vendor contract negotiations and management. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure alignment with the company's brand and customer needs. Budget Management: Develop and manage the mobile division's budget, allocating resources effectively and optimizing project delivery costs. Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly measure and report on the success and performance of mobile division, relative to goals. Compliance and Security: Ensure mobile products and partnerships adhere to all relevant regulations, compliance requirements, and data security standards. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Proven track record of at least 7 years in the mobile development industry required, with full cycle experience working with vendors, extensive knowledge of devices, and a plethora of existing relationships in the industry. Experience at a Mobile Network Operator or MVNO is highly preferred. At least 7 years of management experience required, including developing and managing a diverse team of individuals with various responsibilities and duties. Demonstrated experience in successfully launching and managing mobile and/or service-related product(s) from concept to delivery. Demonstrated experience in successfully working with device OEM’s and developing a roadmap for supporting popular smartphones, tablets & wearables including value added services like device protection, trade-in etc. In-depth knowledge of the mobile market including industry trends, technologies, platforms, and development methodologies- particularly in the MVNO space. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and clearly communicate and present ideas to all levels of the organization. A passion for innovation and a deep understanding of user experience design principles. Disclaimer: The pay range for this position is $110,000.00- $150,000.00 annually. This position is also eligible for annual performance based bonuses.
