Job Title: Physician Assistant (PA)
Location: Marshalltown, Iowa
Summary:
We are actively seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic and diverse healthcare team in Marshalltown, IA. The PA will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. The role involves conducting physical exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications under the supervision of licensed physicians. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations of pediatric patients.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory work and imaging.
  • Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Provide patient education on preventive care, treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle changes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and specialists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in patient rounds, case discussions, and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
  • Provide follow-up care, including adjustments to treatment plans and patient monitoring.
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current Physician Assistant licensure in the state of Iowa.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Minimum of 1 years of clinical experience as a PA, with preference for experience in primary care, pediatrics, or specialty settings.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Work Environment:
  • Clinical setting that may include outpatient clinics, hospitals, and rotations in emergency departments.
  • Monday-Friday work week, with an on-call rotation between providers.
  • The role may involve standing for extended periods, walking between different areas of the facility, and lifting/moving equipment or patients as necessary.
Benefits:
  • $100,000-130,000 starting, based on incoming experience.
