Tray Catcher SS - M,Tu,Th,F (4:30a-2:30p)

The purpose of this position is to receive trays from the tray washer/disinfector machine and transfer them onto clean hatcher buggies. <p><b> ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES </b><p> Meets production requirements by stacking several cleaned trays per minute. Inspect trays for cleanliness as they exit the washer machine and stacks them properly. Uses hand held pressure hoses to wash down wheeled carts that carry trays after entering the washer machine if they come out still dirty. Cleans and disinfects the tray room at the end of each shift. <p> Participates as a member of the Team . Participates in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure B.E.S.T practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforces actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization. <p> Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position's role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas. <p> Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives: This position description is intended to guide the activities of the Tray Washer and is not intended to limit the thinking and creativity of the person to the work of this function nor is it intended that this describe all the work that may be required of the person in this position. <p> Physical Activities: Must be able to work in temperature extremes, on feet for the entire shift. Must be able to lift and carry 10-12 pound empty trays out of a chest level exit of a tray washer, and place them on a cart from floor to above shoulder level. Must be able to push/pull wheeled carts full of clean trays weighing up to 200 pounds about 50 feet in distance. <p> Travel: N/A <p> Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Will use appropriate footwear, hearing protection and other protective equipment as needed or required. <p> Technical Experience: N/A <p> Industry Experience: Preference for poultry or food processing organization. <p> Minimum Education : Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken. <p> Preferred Education : High School Diploma or GED. <p> Competencies: Communication skills &amp; decision quality- Must have the ability to make good decisions and communicate effectively with others and leadership team. <img src="https://ars2.equest.com/? response_id=41276e1514f9a7667e397332d55e3951&view" alt=" " width="1" height="1"/>
