Our client has contributed to the dynamic efficiency and growth of an industry that has transformed chicken into an economically affordable healthy protein source for many of the over 7 billion people in the world. <br><br><strong>Purpose of the Position</strong><br><br>Given our client's commitment to advancing in technology and becoming one of the most innovative companies in the industry, they are seeking a leader in machine learning, computer vision, and automation technologies that can transform the way phenotypic data are collected and utilized.<br><br>Reporting to the VP of R&D, this experienced individual will have strong passion to advance our client's high-throughput digital phenotyping platform within the genetic improvement program.<br><br><strong>This position is a newly created role within the organization, with high visibility at the top level and opportunity to expand scope of responsibility.</strong><br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br><ul><li>Actively identify disruptive and innovate digital technologies to improve genetic selection processes for customer success.</li><li>Solve challenging problems by utilizing an ecosystem of sensor technology such as video, infrared, RFID, temperature/RH and others, combined with machine learning algorithms, to measure poultry production, behavior, physiology, health and reproductive traits.</li><li>Explore and analyze unstructured data such as Computed Tomography (CT)/Xray images or ultrasonic images through image processing.</li><li>Evaluate and optimize various computer vision and deep learning algorithms. Develop models to solve industrial problems</li><li>Engage and collaborate with experts across multi-disciplinary fields and organizations to drive innovative technologies.</li><li>Manage immediate need for technology application within the business with a long-term digital platform vision.</li><li>Utilize all evolving digital technologies to asses movement, behavior and health in poultry.</li><li>Develop predictive algorithms from CT imaging of poultry for assessment of body composition and joint health.</li><li>Design, organize and execute projects that lead to development of monitoring tools for automatic detection of behavior, phenotypic and performance traits.</li><li>Utilize existing and new RFID technology to improve the efficiency of data recording.</li><li>Effectively communicate the status and results of research projects to stakeholders.</li><li>The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of statisticians skilled in prediction methodologies using AI and machine learning.</li><li>The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of engineers to design hardware to fulfill data collection needs.</li></ul><br><strong>The Candidate</strong><br><br><strong>Experience and Professional Qualifications</strong><br><ul><li>Experience and professional qualifications required for the role.</li><li>Minimum of Masters in applied electronics/embedded systems engineering / computer engineering / computer science / electrical engineering / agriculture engineering (or similar).</li><li>Programming experience in one or more of the following: C, C++, Python, Java, Matlab.</li><li>An understanding of statistics, signal processing, time series data, and machine learning.</li><li>Ability to work efficiently with large scale, big data.</li><li>Strong project management, communication skills and commitment to working in a diverse team.</li><li><strong>Must be willing to live in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.</strong></li></ul><br><strong>SE# 510598676</strong>
