Position Description:
US CITIZENSHIP AND ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED
CGI Federal is currently seeking Cloud Developers with active Top-Secret clearances to support a large project for a federal government client. This position can be filled in Washington DC or Huntsville AL.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The Cloud Developer supports solution development with subject matter experts and engineers to build Cloud Solution Offerings focused on Enterprise level data. The Cloud Developer will provide subject matter experience and expertise with the ability to clearly present concepts and services to help build innovative cloud solutions.
• Responsible for designing and implementing core infrastructure systems which will support the creation of innovative cloud solutions.
• Defines the system landscape, identify gaps between the current and desired end-states, and delivers cloud-based solutions.
• Recommends alternate choices, trade-offs, and impact analysis.
• Works with technical teams and senior architects to finalize specifications related to integration between systems.
• Understands security and identifies encryption and controls needed to protect information.
• Collaborates with technical teams and management to ensure cloud services align to roadmaps and understand the effect on the organization's information architecture.
• Liaises with external providers to resolve any issues in the functionality and interoperability of new cloud applications, cloud-based infrastructure, and other cloud services with existing IT systems.
• Coordinates testing efforts to identify and resolve system integration issues.
• Maintaining the Apache Hadoop Ecosystem, especially utilizing HBase, MapReduce, and Spark.
• ETL processes utilizing Linux shell scripting, Perl, Python, and Apache Airflow.
• AWS services such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ELB, EMR, KMS, SQS, SNS, and Systems Manager.
• Experience in supporting, maintaining, and migrating JavaFX applications to modern cloud-native solutions.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline.
• Minimum of 10+ years' experience as a Cloud Developer.
• Knowledge of both AWS and Azure Cloud technologies.
• Vue.js, ASP.NET (C#), Nodejs, React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PostgreSQL, Liquibase, Elasticsearch, and Git.
• Knowledge of Apache Airflow, Apache TIKA, Ansible, and Terraform
• Knowledge with Distributed Systems patterns such as Domain Driven Design (DDD), Command Query Responsibility Separation (CQRS), Event Sourcing, and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Experience with messaging patterns and messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ.
• Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing: virtualization technologies, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service and Software as a Service Cloud delivery models and the current competitive landscape.
• Thorough understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, hypervisor, storage, monitoring, security etc.) and have experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution
• Ability to clearly present concepts and Cloud Managed Services products to internal and external clients.
• Understanding of Agile, DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• CompTIA Security Plus certification.
• Active Top-Secret clearance.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $108,600.00 - $235,200.00.
