This is a PASS/FAIL test Job Details A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Tele RN for a travel assignment. The right candidate will have 2 years of experience Hold an active BLS, ACLS and CA license. Job Requirements Must have 2-3 years experience in specialty, They are open to first time travelers It is a very busy unit with a lot of quick turnovers They stress the patient experience on the unit and they want someone who knows and understands HCAHPS and core measures And someone is will be invested in their mission and values, also important the traveler is self-motivated and team oriented They are very traveler friendly Schedule Information Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule, Days - Sat/Sun, - Nights - Fri/Sat Holidays: Work into perm staff rotation Shifts: 12 hrs, 6:45-7:15, schedules made out about 2-3 weeks ahead of time initially and then they try to schedule them out 9 weeks in advance, self-scheduling for the most part Floating: float to Tele - 2Central or Tele - 4West Floor specific orientation: 1 shift on unit Unit Specific Information Unit: IMCU (2 West) - beds: 30 beds - Certs: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - Ratios: 1 to 3-4 - EMR: Cerner - Charge Nurse: one charge nurse for all 74 beds (2 West, 4West, and 2 central) - Nurse Aides: 3 nurse aides to cover all 74 beds of these three units - Tele: Phillips - they do have monitor tech, nurses must be able to read and interpret, will have to take dysrhythmia exam - Vents: no, bipap or cpap - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: yes - IV Team: no - RT 24/7: yes - Pharmacy 24/7: yes Common diagnosis / Types of patients: CHF, COPD, Renal failure, pneumonia, will have drips but will not have to titrate Additional Details COVID Vaccine Required (Certification) NIHSS; Nights, EOW, First to Float
