Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,123 per week

Certification Details ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Job Details Hospital located on the Western Side of Iowa in need of a PCU RN on their Critical Care Unit. ICU experience is preferred but not required. The hospital is also seeking coverage on their night shifts. This is a twenty bed unit. Job Requirements Department: Stepdown RN Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Heart failure, Afib, respiratory distress, stroke Are RNs required to titrate drips? : Yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Cardizem, amiodarone, nitro Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? : Yes- does take a full patient assignment Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties? : Yes- 1:10 RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot? : CPAP Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? : RNs must read and interpret strips How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? : 1- 12 hour shift in the department Attributes that help make a nurse successful in this department are a positive attitude, teamwork, patient oriented, and comes to work to care for someone Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions. Schedule Information The hospital is seeking coverage on their night shifts. Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling?
