Safety Intern

The Safety Intern plays a vital role within the Safety function of Wisconsin Steel & Tube. This position assists the Safety Manager with implementing and maintaining safety protocols.

Responsibilities & Duties:

•Performs Job Safety Analysis within both Wisconsin Steel & Tube locations.

•Leads Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) Procedure Audit and provides hands on training to employees.

•Complete "Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Train the Trainer" training post hire.

•Complete "Overhead Crane Train the Trainer" training post hire.

•Performs New Hire Safety Training.

•Conducts Fire Extinguisher Monthly Inspections.

•Leads Crane and Forklift Refresher Training for all employees.

•Develops Contractor/Delivery Driver safety program.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; enrollment in related field of study at a 2-year or 4-year university preferred.
