Certification Details BLS required Medsurg/Oncology certification preferred RN license Job Details 13-week contract Great unit culture and teamwork Family oriented unit Travelers to feel supported Job Requirements Experience with trach and BiPAP preferred but not required RNs required to titrate drips such as Lasix and Heparin Experience in Medsurg/Onc RN preferred Ability to float to other MedSurg units Schedule Information Shifts: 0700-1930, 1900-0730 Self-scheduling: Manager to make schedule Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: As needed Call/Standby Requirement: None Block scheduling may be considered if unit needs are met Unit Specific Information Unit Beds: 31 Common diagnoses: Strokes, HTN, COPD, Cellulitis, CHF, A fib non RVR, Chest pain, MI after ICU, etc. RN not required to read and interpret strips, monitor tech available Vent, CPAP, BiPAP equipment: RNs required to troubleshoot Scrub Color/Dress Code: No specific color Additional Details Nurse to patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6 Patient care techs duties: Assist with patient care Charge Nurse available on each shift Orientation: 1-2 shifts on the floor Radius Rule: 50 miles
