Summary The primary role of the Senior Director, Consumer Products/Retail Group within the Save the Children US Corporate Partnerships team is to lead the development of deeper, broader, more strategic, business and philanthropic relationships with both existing CPG/retail partners (eg. TJX Companies, Ulta, PVH, Dollar General, etc) and prospects (eg Walmart, Target, Kelloggs, ConAgra, General Mills, etc.) in partnership with existing teams. You will collaborate with existing teams to grow and create 3-5, $10million+ annual partnerships for SCUS by end 2024, as well as a pipeline of prospective partnerships that deliver strong cash and contribute to reputation growth and other cross-agency objectvies including brand awareness, consumer preference, lead generation and overall agency visibility. Partnering closely with the corporate team and other SCUS functions, you will add high-level, in-house CPG/retail expertise and experience while bolstering the strong capabilities already present within the Corporate team to support growing these relationships in key markets around the world, and presenting Save the Children as a leader in the sector through external panels and publications. What Youll Be Doing (Essential Duties) Lead strategic planning and high-level partner engagement for CPG/Retail industry companies to ensure our current/future consumer-facing engagements and new grant programs with CPG/retail companies generate at least $40M in cash annually for SCUS by end 2024, more than doubling where we are today. (60%) . Specific tasks include: new business prospecting; opportunity sizing; goal setting and overarching strategy development across Corporate and where relevant, with MCF; initial outreach/door opening; pitch material development; VP and above/C-suite level partner relationship cultivation; contract negotiation; problem-solving at the highest levels; and ongoing senior partner engagement, supporting the relevant existing teams as needed to ensure world class delivery, reporting and promotion of our joint success, internally and externally. Lead CPG/retail corporate partnerships to deliver beyond cash across SCUS and STC globally . Metrics and specific activities will be finalized once this person is on board between Corporate, MCF and Global Corporate Partnership Group (GCPG) but would likely include goals around: brand awareness and favorability, lead generation for Movement of Millions, Employee Engagement and Workplace Giving. (20%) This is closely linked to the point above and the tasks required to do this will mirror those in the prior section but this is called out separately to ensure there is a clear emphasis on driving agency goals beyond cash. Lead global CPG/Retail Action Team

The MD will report directly to the Head of Corporate, be a member of the Corporate Leadership Team (CLT) and participate in the Global Corporate Partnerships Group. They will operate in a matrixed role, with no direct reports starting out, as we co-create both within SCUS and globally, the best on-going management and engagement team configuration to lead to the desired outcomes. Once the optimal Action Team(s) have been established, they will lead this team(s) - setting agendas, managing work flows, negotiating trade-offs, tracking progress, etc - working closely with the Head of Corporate as well as directly with the relevant SCUS SLT members and the GCPG to facilitate participation, engagement and delivery of goals. (10%). External Visibility

Identify and secure opportunities to build Save the Childrens visibility with the corporate sector, securing speaking engagements, social media posts, and publications that recognize Save the Childrens leadership position well ahead of most of our peers (10%) Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 15 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience working in senior roles (VP or above) within Consumer Products and/or retail company(s)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate successfully with individuals and teams at all levels
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining and environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Demonstrated successful managerial and leadership skills in the consumer products and/or retail space to provide the technical advice, guidance and direction related to large consumer-facing programs
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% to foster team-building and partner relationships Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in business consulting and/or advertising/marketing agency or other sales-oriented business environments a plus
