Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,249 per week

Certification Details Required certifications: BLS Job Details Specialty: Medical Surgical Meridian Hospital Flr 6 Job Requirements Must have 2 years of MedSurg experience Must have EPIC experience Must be able to read and interpret tele Must be willing to take students, may be precept new travelers Required certifications: BLS Are RNs required to titrate drips: no Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Primarily a Medical floor with a little surgical overflow. Respiratory, GI, anything medical that you wouldn't do surgery on, behavioral health- if pts been in ER for more than 1 day will room up here to work on d/c plan Schedule Information Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hours 7-730 Scheduler will schedule travelers- no block scheduling Weekend Requirement: 5 weekend shifts in a 6 week period- travelers are utilized to fill in gaps Holiday Requirement: Yes- if there is a need Unit Specific Information Unit: MedSurg - 6th Floor of Beds: 42 Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:5 occasional 1:6-very rarely happens Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift: Charge Nurse on each shift- very rarely takes patients but will if there is a need. Day shift also has an ADT nurse that helps with admits, discharges, and tasking Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit: Yes- 1:8 RT Equipment: CPAP, BiPAP-RT manages, high flow Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit: Virtual Tele techs. RNs are required to read and interpret own strips. Currently have SpaceLab but are transitioning to Philips by end of June Floating Requirements: Will float between MedSurg 5, MedSurg 6, and a 9 bed overflow unit. Can also go to any like units in the system- Boise Medical Center 8mi away and Nampa Medical Center- both about 8 miles away. Could also float to ER for holds or to be a 1:1 Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided: Any color as long as clean and professional How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: 3 days of general orientation including EPIC training and meeting with educator, will also have online modules to complete prior to start of assignment. 2 shifts on unit with a preceptor Additional Details This facility has a radius rule of 50 miles. To ensure adherence to this rule, we will require the candidates' perm address in the submittal to confirm they are outside of that specified radius before proceeding with the profile review.
