Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Description: Job Summary: Responsible for thedelivery of care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment,planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and effectivelyinteracts with patient, significant others, and other health team members whilemaintaining standards of professional nursing. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Utilizethe nursing process by demonstrating appropriate assessment, planning,implementation, and evaluation of the patient's care, as evidenced byclient/staff observation. · Teachpatient/significant other appropriate health information in a timely manner andshare written informational material. · Performdirect patient care, utilizing established procedures, policies, and standards. · Assist patients,family members or other clients with concern and empathy; respect theirconfidentiality and privacy and communicate with them in a courteous andrespectful manner. · Assistin the orientation/training of new employees. · Assistother staff in the performance of their assignments. · Recognizethe need for variations in staffing and volunteer to fill open shifts. · Take direction andinitiate actions (cross/additional training) that will allow the assumption ofcross-functional duties to ensure seamless patient care. · Demonstrate soundjudgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings orconcerns.
