Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,337 per week

Certification Details Required Certifications: NPR, BLS, ACLS, STABLE Job Details A hospital in Southern Idaho is in need of an RN with 3 years of experience with Women's Services (L&D and PP) for a 13 week travel assignment. The nurses will be working 12 hour shifts. Ideal candidates must have 3 years experience with L&D, Post-Partum, and OR Circulation / Triage. Job Requirements Must have 3 years of L&D experience Must have mother baby experience- prefer 1 year Okay with a first time traveler. Must have experience and be able to attend deliveries and complete 1 hour of newborn care, triage, Circulate C/S, and provide Postpartum Couplet Care. Must have experience with magnesium. Charge nurse experience preferred. Are RNs required to titrate drips? : Yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Yes – Pitocin Protocol, Magnesium Protocol, Insulin drips (occasionally) Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have experience with magnesium, attend deliveries, provide 1 hour of newborn care, triage, circulate in C/S Schedule Information Shifts & Scheduling: 7-7. Resource and Charge 0645-1845, 1845-0645. Weekend Requirements: No minimum requirement. Based on unit needs and requests Holiday Requirements: No set requirement for travel RNs. Floating Requirements: Float to all St. Lukes Treasure Valley Sites Unit Specific Information OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7? : OB hospitalist 24/7 and a Neonatal NP 24/7 Anesthesia in house 24/7? : Yes RT Equipment: RT available for troubleshooting Tele/Monitor Techs: Do not have tele techs. Travelers will be using EFM System: Centricity How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? : 4 shifts on unit This site is the only LDRP site Additional Details - of LDRP Beds: 14 - of OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections: 2 suites - of Triage beds: 4 - of Births per day/month/year? : 90/month, 1200/year - Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios? : Follow AWHONN Staffing Standards. - Common diagnoses/Types of patients: 32 week gestation and greater, various medical conditions - Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? : Admin Supervisor on every shift. Charge RNs do not take an assignment.
