Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,608 per week

Certification Details Hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CA license. ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required. Job Details A hospital in California is looking for an experienced ICU RN for a travel assignment. The right candidate will have 2 years of experience. Job Requirements Must hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CA license. Dysrhythimia certification through AHA required (can be completed online). TNCC preferred. 2 years in specialty required. Schedule Information Shifts are 12 hrs, 7-7. Self-scheduling to some degree, schedules are made out about 30-45 days in advance. Would rarely float but if they did it would be to medsurg where pt ratio would be 1 to 5, could also float to peds 1 to 4 if qualified and ER if qualified. Unit Specific Information Unit: ICU 8 beds, avg census is 3-4 patients. Common diagnosis/Types of patients include high number of sepsis patients, medical-surgical patients, DKA, CHF, COPD, and cardiac caths get shipped out because they do not have cath lab. Additional Details Most patients on this unit are borderline stepdown patients. Cerner experience preferred for candidates. Will take new travelers. Must be able to hit the ground running and blend into culture and family type atmosphere. Must be team player and have experience working a small ICU unit.
