Job Details MDH is seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel X-Ray Technologist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in general imaging and a strong background in computed tomography (CT). This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, performing a variety of imaging studies and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care. Job Requirements Education: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology. Certification: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensed by the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety. CPR: Current BLS/CPR certification required. Experience: Must have CT experience; basic general imaging skills are essential. Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with Merge-PACS, Cerner/HIS, and RIS systems. Equipment Knowledge: Experience with GE, Phillips, Carestream, and Siemens radiology equipment preferred. Flexibility: Willingness to float between inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients as needed. Schedule Information Shifts: First shift from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with weekend and holiday requirements. M-F (1:30-10P) and EOW Unit Specific Information Dress Code: Ciel blue tops and black bottoms (scrubs are provided). Key Responsibilities: Perform a wide range of general imaging exams, including X-rays and CT scans, in accordance with established protocols. Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and support throughout the process. Maintain and operate radiology equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and adherence to safety standards. Document imaging results accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) and utilize the Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS) for image storage and retrieval. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to discuss imaging findings and ensure the best patient outcomes. Participate in department orientation and maintain compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. Additional Details ARRT, BLS Notes Updated: 9/25/2024 Orientation: Department-specific orientation will be provided. Important Notes: The average workload is approximately 100 exams per day. There is no requirement for IV starts or on-call duties. A radiologist will be available in-house to support imaging processes.
