<strong>The Position</strong> <p> To maintain, repair, or build stamping dies, fixtures, jigs, and secondary operation equipment utilized within the Pensacola manufacturing facility.<p><strong> Responsibilities</strong> <p> <ul><li> A comprehensive understanding of all aspects of Tool and Die and stamping. Ability to produce precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures from blueprints and or hand sketches. </li> <li> Ability to work with engineers and designers to determine how to best address manufacturing issues, part development, and tool designs. Maintain, repair, and improve stamping dies and tooling. </li> <li> Make adjustments to equipment utilized in the production process to insure part quality and promote continuous improvement to the process. </li> <li> Work safely by yourself and with others maintaining a clean work environment. </li> <li> Must be able to work well with co-workers across the plant from a supportive, Team-oriented perspective. </li> </ul><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities</strong> <p> <ul><li> Minimal supervisory responsibilities. </li> </ul><strong>Qualifications</strong> <p> <ul><li> Tool &amp; Die makers must either hold Journeyman certificate in Tool &amp; Die or Die Making - or - have a minimum of 5 years of education and training in a formal apprenticeship or postsecondary program. </li> <li> Must be well versed in the use of machine tools (i.e. Mills, lathes, grinders, etc.) and precision measuring equipment. </li> <li> Must be familiar with machining and grinding of a variety of common metals both hardened and soft. </li> <li> Must have experience with single hit and progressive dies. </li> <li> Must be knowledgeable in mathematics and blueprint reading. </li> </ul><p><strong>Language Skills </strong> <p> <ul><li> Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and blueprints. </li> <li> Must be able to communicate well with engineers, designers, and co-workers. </li> </ul><p><strong>Mathematical Skills</strong> <p> <ul><li> Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide along with a full understanding and use of geometry. </li> </ul><p><strong>Reasoning Abilities</strong> <p> <ul><li> Tool &amp; Die makers need to have a natural ability to diagnose, interrupt, and assess problems in tooling and manufacturing processes creating solutions to complex situations. </li> </ul><p><strong>Computer Skills</strong> <p> <ul><li> Computer skills are a plus.
