Job Description
SITECH NorCal has a need for a Technology Support Engineer based at our Aurora, OR location.
SUMMARY
The Technology Support Engineer leverages technical knowledge with customer service skills to increase customers' Trimble product knowledge and/or skills and expand the regional customer base to generate new and incremental business. This position is responsible for actively working with the sales team and their established accounts to provide customer training and support, identify product sales opportunities, and cross sell the Trimble Technology portfolio which includes but is not limited to Machine Control, Site Positioning, and Software.

  • Work closely with customers and prospects in the region to increase their Trimble product knowledge and skills
  • Offer post-sales support services, including onsite training and/or consulting
  • Promote, support, sell, and renew annual customer support agreements
  • Act as the main contact and first line of support for customers regarding Trimble Technology products
  • Provide training to clients on Trimble product functionality and usability
  • Provide technical assistance and product information to sales and service teams
  • Assist with technical development of the sales and service teams when new Trimble products and software are released
  • Submit and follow up on customer support cases to ensure they are completed efficiently
  • Build strong customer relationships based on service, expertise, and overall value with customers
  • Update and maintain client contact data in company Customer Relation Module (CRM) software
  • Use CRM software to complete billing and work order paperwork thoroughly and efficiently
  • Provide reports on training and support agreement to management as requested
  • Travel up to 20% of the time within assigned territory to visit customers and coworkers, provide product support and training, and attend industry events.
  • Operate company or personal vehicle as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree from a fully accredited college in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering sales administration or other closely related field; and a minimum of five years of directly related experience in construction; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
