Xel Advisors is a National firm providing accounting and tax services to small to medium-sized businesses. We are a growing firm who is looking for a full time Managing Director that will have the opportunity to lead the Eugene, Oregon office. The candidate is responsible for the efficient and accurate preparation and review of tax returns.. This role requires advanced technical expertise in tax and accounting fields, as well as strong management and supervisory abilities.
*Responsibilities and Duties:*
- Prepares individual, partnership, corporate, Non-Profits, and Estate & Trust tax returns.
- Stay current with revisions in tax laws and regulations and ensure the firm and clients are well-informed about pertinent updates
- Communicate with clients providing tax planning and tax savings strategies.
- Gathers and assesses client data, making any necessary adjustments through journal entries, and produces financial statements to accompany the respective business tax filings.
- Foster enduring and robust connections with clients, serving as their main point of contact.
- Respond to client questions, issues, and demands in a timely and courteous manner.
- Responsible for managing current staff and hiring and firing new staff.
- Take ownership of the office with the mindset of growing the firm
*Required Qualifications and Skills*
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in preparing tax returns for businesses and individuals
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA)
- Experience with QuickBooks and Lacerte
- Accounting/bookkeeping experience
*Supplemental Pay*
- $25,000 bonus at the end of each year based on performance and client retention.
- $10,000 relocation pay will be provided if applicant is relocating do to the job.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $200,000.00 per year
