*POSITION – TAX MANAGER *
*REQUIREMENTS *
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field- Advanced degree preferred
* Licensed CPA or Law Degree
* Five to eight years tax experience, with emphasis on high income, high net-worth individuals with complex tax situations.
* Experience building and managing prospective and existing client relationships.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
* Familiarity with tax preparation and bookkeeping software
* Experience with ProSystems tax preparation and Sage 50 Accounting software a plus
* Strong organizational, analytical and technical skills.
* Excellent in verbal and written communication.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
*RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Manage the preparation, review and sign individual, trust, estate, gift and partnership tax returns.
* Answer specific tax issues raised by tax preparers and professional staff. Provide research as needed.
* Maintain proficiency in tax law, analyze changes in the tax law and research tax law to ensure compliance and develop effective tax planning strategies.
* Provide training and development to tax professionals and other AMG staff, advise on tax law developments.
* Provide audit support for clients as needed.
* Actively market and promote the firm to potential clients.
* Evaluate and develop efficient and improved procedural systems for the delivery of tax services.
* Maintain a thorough understanding of tax department policies and procedures.
