Tax Accountant (Part-Time and Full-Time)

M. A. Pawlowski Accounting Group is searching for a relationship-oriented, outgoing Tax Accountant. This person should be an Enrolled Agent or CPA with an entrepreneurial mindset. This role is responsible for working collaboratively with clients to provide comprehensive accounting, tax, and compliance services. This candidate must possess demonstrated success consulting for clients on a range of tax and compliance matters. Must be able to handle multiple engagements.

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*

· Prepare returns for individual, trust, partnership, and corporate tax clients including federal, state, and local

· Perform diverse accounting assignments

· Assist with the clean-up of client prepared accounting records; including adjusting entries, book to tax adjustments, and other supporting documents

· Assist with research and consulting on tax issues

· Work with team members to develop effective tax planning and compliance solutions

· Assist with process improvements

· Participate in client meetings

*QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS*

· Active EA or CPA with a minimum of 2 years of current experience in a public accounting firm

· Bachelor's degree in accounting or another related program.

· Experience representing clients before tax authorities

· Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks software (desktop/online)

· Subject matter expert in multiple specialized areas/industries

· Strong analytical, organizational, project management skills, and strong attention to detail
