Supervisor Trainee

<p><strong><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Scope of Position:</span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Under the supervision of the production supervisor learns the operations within the department and helps maintain a well-trained, highly motivated, and quality-oriented team that meets or exceeds business goals.</span></p> <p><strong><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Essential Duties and Responsibilities</span></strong><strong><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Learns and assists the department supervisor with managing results in terms of costs, methods, quality, and production goals/targets.</span></li> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Learns and assists the department supervisor with dept. workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observes control points and equipment; monitors personnel and resources; studies methods; implements cost reductions; develops reporting procedures and systems; facilitates corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiates and fosters a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.</span></li> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Understands work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals and customer demand.</span></li> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Understands and assists with enforcing established policies and procedures.</span></li> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Maintains direct contact with employees, using proper communication and good people/motivational skills.</span></li> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Provides a clean, safe, orderly work area. Performs 5S audits and uses them as a tool to hold people accountable for a safe/organized work area.</span></li> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Provides training in the safe and proper use of equipment.</span></li> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Using LEAN tools, practices continuous improvement daily, to eliminate wastes, improve quality, and increase efficiency and productivity.</span></li> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Observes and obeys all safety rules, practices, and procedures.</span></li> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Wears and employs all safety equipment.</span></li> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Flexibility to rotate within different departments to learn and understand each line's processes/procedures. </span></li> </ul><p><strong><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Position Requirements:</span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">The Factory Supervisor Trainee should possess the minimum knowledge listed below:</span></p> <ul> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">High School Education</span></li> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Prior supervisory experience a plus</span></li> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Must demonstrate exceptional initiative</span></li> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Ability to function under pressure</span></li> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Ability to use computer software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook</span></li> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Must be able to get along with others</span></li> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Ability to effectively prioritize </span></li> <li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Must understand, convey, and comply with company policies and procedures</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;"> </span></p> <p><strong><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Skills and Qualifications: </span></strong><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Supervision, Coaching, Managing Processes, Process Improvement, Budget Tracking, Production Planning, Controls and Instrumentation, Strategic Planning, Dealing with Complexity</span></p><img src="https://counter.adcourier.com/YmJnZW5lcmljLjUzNTg3LjEyNTI0QGFkcGNvbXAuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif">
