Summer Hire - Watford Yard Office

Position Description <p> <strong>Primary purpose:</strong><br /> • The summer hire will gain hands-on experience within the pipeline industry by working alongside experienced operators and technicians.<br /><strong>Essential duties/responsibilities:</strong><br /> • Reliable team member in support of field operations<br /><strong>Work duties may include:</strong><br /> • Attend safety meetings/training<br /> • Assist employees in carrying out various operational work assignments<br /> • Learn the proper use of tools used to inspect, maintain, repair, install and troubleshoot various equipment/assets<br /> • Handle material, supplies and equipment needed to complete work orders<br /> • Learn to read and use drawings, blueprints and maps<br /> • Gain knowledge of environmental rules and regulations along with requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities<br /> • Follow all Company policies and apply appropriate operating and maintenance procedures<br /> • Complete or assist with written and/or online work orders and other various documentation<br /> • Other duties as assigned<br /> <br /> Position Requirements <p> <strong>Minimum requirements:</strong><br /><strong>Education:</strong> <br /> • High school degree or equivalent GED<br /> • Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and a good driving record<br /><strong>Experience/specific knowledge:</strong><br /> • Willing to learn and gain basic construction and tools knowledge<br /> • Willing to get hands dirty getting hands on experience in the field on projects, maintenance, and troubleshooting<br /> • Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications<br /><strong>Skills/abilities:</strong><br /> • Ability to work independently and within a team<br /> • Strong verbal and communication skills<br /> • Possess strong problem solving, analytical and creative thinking skills<br /> <br /> <strong>Physical demands:</strong><br /> • Able to lift 25 lbs.<br /> • Able to traverse uneven terrain<br /> • Stand, walk, climb, bend, often for long periods of time<br /> <br /> <strong>Working conditions:</strong><br /> • Working outdoors in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wind, rain, etc.)<br /> • May include heights (stairs, platforms, ladders, etc.)<br /> • Company will provide proper safety gear and personal protective equipment<br /> <br /> EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER STATEMENT: We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class. <img src="https://ars2.equest.com/? response_id=927b28e4a8091f673292e47d74ad2bb9&view" alt=" " width="1" height="1"/>
